What to look for
Look for lip height, not thickness. A case only protects a screen if the edge sits proud of the glass. A 2mm lip around the display and camera island is the specification that matters in a face-down drop.
Accept that clear cases yellow. The polymer reacts to UV and skin oils. Treat a transparent case as a consumable, or buy a tinted or matte finish that hides the change.
